Les Chénes is garnet red in color. It has a great aromatic intensity with scents of red fruits such as raspberries, black currant in combination with hints of caramel and vanilla. Velvety on the palate with notes of black currant, blackberry, caramel and tobacco. A rich wine, well structured with a persistent aftertaste.
Denis Jamain believes that the land they work is a loan and that they should return it to future generations as healthily as possible. This desire to respect the environment and the welfare of the land fully motivated their choice of organic farming and biodynamics for the management of the vineyard.
In addition to his passion for the vines, Denis Jamain has had an equally passion for trees since childhood and is fortunate to be able to manage a family forest 15 kilometers from Reuilly. The trees of this region are world famous for the production of staves intended for vinification in oak barrels. Their growth is very slow, producing a fine grain that is essential for proper osmosis of the wine's tannins with the wood.
