Made from a blend of 50 % Syrah, 30 % Carignan and 20 % Mouvedre, this cuvée has a real personality. In the glass it is dark ruby red with lively aromas of blackberries, cherries and fine spices such as cocoa. It is a complex wine, elegant, mouth-filling and very refined. After 2017, here is 2018, fleshy, fruity with an original aromatic palette. At first slightly closed, but with air this wine turns out to be greedy.
The plots, in total 50 hectares, are housed in the middle of rocks, scrubland and pine forests and follow the natural physiognomy of the place: hills, steep slopes and plains. Laurent de Besombes Singla found the way to reveal the amazing potential of this terroir. True to the grapes that love the sun of Roussillon, he creates some authentic wines, fine, elegant, full of earth are produced.
Since he took back the family farm, Laurent de Besombes has isolated the best tenements, 50 hectares in total, which bear the name Domaine Singla. He replaced herbicides, fertilizers and other synthetic products with natural materials such as horse hair, comfrey, lime, sulfur, nettle, fennel… He revitalized the fields and worked through the seasons. Ever since in the wastelands, hedges and surrounding scrubland, the ecosystem took back its rights. The Domaine has been certified in organic farming since 2006.
