This Tepranillo Crianza is a deep cherry red with violet hues in the rim. Clean, striking and clear. We taste black fruits like blackberries and berries that predominate with important dairy accents that are in balance with the spiciness in the wine. On the palate it shows ripe tannins that are in balance with the acidity. He is friendly, lively and harmonious throughout his journey. The finish reproduces dairy with great finesse and evokes liquorice memories.
This Tempranillo is fermented in stainless steel tanks, where the temperature is lowered below 12 degrees. The selected yeasts they use at Familia Conesa have a slow effect for better extraction of aromas and color. This gives them a young wine with a lot of structure, a high color intensity and aromas; in short, a perfect wine for long aging in oak barrels. This wine is aged in barricas for another 8 months, giving it complexity and greater length.
The 2018 harvest year was characterized by low rainfall and mild temperatures, leading to the hottest days in late summer. This gives us a perfectly healthy, harmonious grape for this vintage. With a nice balance between sugar and phenolic maturity.
